The LF AI & Data Foundation is thrilled to announce the relaunch of our Outreach Committee, a vital component dedicated to expanding our industry presence and impact. This committee plays a pivotal role in our mission, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing community outreach efforts.

We are pleased to introduce Richard Sikang Bian as the newly elected Outreach Committee Chair. Richard currently serves as the Leader of Open Source Strategy and Growth and Head of the Open Source Program Office (OSPO) at Ant Group. Before joining Ant Group, Richard was a seasoned software engineer with Square and Microsoft. His wealth of experience in leading open-source initiatives and strategic projects makes him the perfect leader to steer the Outreach Committee at this pivotal moment.

The Outreach Committee will concentrate on several key objectives including:

  1. Enhancing Engagement: Strengthening connections with our technical communities and the broader industry to promote collaboration and innovation.
  2. Increasing Visibility: Elevating the profile of our technical projects through targeted outreach efforts, ensuring widespread recognition of the contributions and achievements of our community.
  3. Coordinating Efforts: Working closely with the Governing Board to align outreach activities with the strategic goals of the Foundation, ensuring that our efforts support the overarching mission.

The Outreach Committee plays a vital role in uniting diverse voices and perspectives across the AI, ML, DL, and data landscapes. Through our enhanced outreach efforts, we strive to cultivate a more inclusive and collaborative environment. This environment not only supports existing projects but also fosters the introduction of new initiatives and welcomes contributions from all.

We invite all members of our community to contribute to this effort. Your participation can make a significant difference. To contact the Outreach Committee, email
