Today, Gen AI Commons, an initiative of LF AI & Data focused on democratizing generative AI, published the LF AI & Data Outreach Survey which is designed to help us better understand the community’s insights and perspectives on open-source and generative AI. The landscape of generative AI is rapidly evolving, and with it, the opportunities and challenges in the open-source realm grow. Your input through this survey will enable us to understand your interests, needs, and concerns regarding open-source generative AI resources.

Survey responses will help us identify the gaps in current resources, understand the community’s educational needs, and guide the development of materials that are not only informative but also actionable and impactful.

We are at the forefront of championing the cause for ethical, secure, and reliable AI innovations. By adhering to principles of neutral governance and fostering open collaboration, we aim to ensure that generative AI technologies are developed in a manner that is beneficial and accessible to all.

There’s no better time than now to get involved with Gen AI Commons. Generative AI Commons is structured around five key workstreams, each offering unique opportunities for contribution, learning, and collaboration. Whether you’re passionate about developing open-source models, eager to educate others about AI, or committed to ensuring AI’s ethical use, there’s a place for you here. Join the Gen AI Commons workstream mailing lists here

Let’s work together to harness the power of generative AI in ways that benefit humanity and foster a culture of responsible innovation!
