The LF AI & Data Foundation, a collaborative community that drives the development and adoption of open source artificial intelligence (AI) and data technologies, is delighted to share that IBM, a global leader in technology and innovation, has elevated its membership status to become a Premier Member of the foundation.

We are delighted to announce IBM as a premier member of the LF AI & Data Foundation. As a revered AI industry leader, IBM’s upgraded membership highlights their unwavering commitment to the mission and programs of the Foundation.

IBM boasts a competitive track record in the AI space, with a rich history of technological advancements, and the recent release of IBM watsonx. Over the years, IBM has been actively involved with LF AI & Data, hosting nine projects within the foundation. As a Premier Member, IBM now holds a prominent seat on the foundation’s Governing Board, allowing them to actively shape the direction and initiatives of LF AI & Data alongside other industry leaders.     Dr. Ibrahim Haddad is Vice President of Strategic Programs (AI & Data) at the Linux Foundation, where he collaborates with the largest technology companies and open source projects. He's focused on facilitating a vendor-neutral environment for advancing the open source AI platform and empowering generations of open source innovators by providing a neutral, trusted hub for developers to code, manage, and scale open source technology projects. In this role, Haddad leads the LF AI & Data Foundation and the PyTorch Foundation. His work, and the work of both Foundations, support companies, developers, and the open source community in identifying and contributing to the technological projects that address industry and technology challenges for the benefit of all participants.
