New LF AI & Data Members Welcome – Q1 & Q2 2023

In an exciting wave of growth and collaboration, the LF AI & Data Foundation has witnessed a remarkable expansion of its community in the first half of 2023. A total of eight dynamic organizations have joined our ecosystem.

Emphasizing their dedication to fostering the advancement of the LF AI & Data Foundation and their embrace of open-source technology, six esteemed organizations have come on board as General members. Their participation amplifies the foundation’s mission and paves the way for groundbreaking innovations. Furthermore, two exceptional entities have joined as Associate members.

Their presence underscores the foundation’s inclusive ethos and highlights the broad support it receives from varied sectors. Together, these new members form an ever-expanding community of expertise and collaboration, propelling the LF AI & Data Foundation into an exciting new chapter of progress and impact.

Dr. Ibrahim Haddad, Executive Director of LF AI & Data, shared his excitement about the new members: “We are thrilled to welcome these organizations to our membership community. General Members

 

BasicAI is an MLOps software company created with one mission: to speed up the evolution of the AI landscape and to build a more intelligent world together. 

To progress our mission, our team of data scientists & engineers have built the world-first open-source platform for multimodal training data, Xtreme1. We believe that data is the keystone of artificial intelligence. This belief is why we have designed Xtreme1 to be the most accessible and collaborative ML training data platform in the world. Xtreme1 boasts a variety of data labeling, curation, visualization, & versioning features and is now rapidly growing as a part of the Linux Foundation’s highly selective section: ‘The LF AI & Data’.

 

Astronomer is a modern platform for data engineering. From small businesses to large enterprises, Astronomer allows innovative organizations to have access to all of their data in near real-time. Connecting to virtually any data source, Astronomer’s platform makes it quick and easy to securely capture and transport data to any destination. Astronomer also provides data science and analytical support to provide a turn-key solution for organizations looking to modernize their operations and business intelligence.

 

Alibaba Group, founded in 1999, is a company that helps connect businesses to other businesses through cloud computing, logistics, core commerce, local services sectors, and mobile media and entertainment. Alibaba Group is headquartered in the Xixi District of Hangzhou, China, and maintains offices in China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, Russia, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

 

DMetaSoul offers a one-stop big data intelligent platform for new infrastructure, including cloud-native data services and a one-stop AI development platform. They aim to promote the development of the digital economy and make big data and AI more accessible for diverse industries.

 

The “Chinese Software Developer Network” or “China Software Developer Network”, empowers 100 million technical professionals and aims to become the home of technical communication and growth. Founded in 1999, CSDN is a globally renowned Chinese language developer website providing comprehensive services for IT professionals and technology enterprises.
