OpenBytes Joins LF AI & Data as New Sandbox Project

By January 31, 2022No Comments

LF AI & Data Foundation—the organization building an ecosystem to sustain open source innovation in artificial intelligence (AI) and data open source projects, today is announcing OpenBytes as its latest Sandbox Project.

Released and open sourced by Graviti, OpenBytes aims to facilitate wider sharing of, and collaboration with, data in the AI community through the promotion of data standards and formats and enabling contributions of data. The value of this project lies in its stimulus on academic interest and AI innovation by promoting high-quality datasets and pushing the boundaries of science further. With neutral governance, OpenBytes aims to bring transformational changes to AI by making open datasets more available and accessible.

OpenBytes is a cross-industry effort involving contributors from major open source data projects, including LF AI & Data project, Horovod.

LF AI & Data supports projects via a wide range of services, and the first step is joining as a Sandbox Project. Learn more about OpenBytes on their GitHub and join the OpenBytes-Announce Mailing List and OpenBytes-Technical-Discuss Mailing List
