Join us at a special meetup with the RTP area’s members of the LF AI & Data Foundation — a premier open-source foundation fostering collaboration and providing trusted AI & Data infrastructure, uniting developers, organizations, and users.

You’ll have the opportunity to meet fellow LF AI & Data Foundation members, discover the latest open-source projects and initiatives, and explore ways to contribute to the future of responsible AI development. Most importantly, you’ll have plenty of time to connect, network and build relationships with fellow professionals in the AI and data science community.  This meetup is part of Frontier RTP’s Out of Office (OOO) weekly networking event (the broader event starts at 4:30pm) and is free to attend.

Main talk – Transfer Learning with PyTorch 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM

• Transfer learning reuses a model trained on a large dataset and fine-tunes it for a new task. It delivers dramatically better accuracy in far less training time. In this talk, we will share a demo showcasing benefits of Transfer learning with PyTorch. You will learn how to create model from scratch, how a pretrained model (e.g. ResNet) can be fine-tuned, and comparison of their training and inference accuracy. We will also show how IBM Bob (AI-powered development partner) was used to build this demo. The speaker is Sahdev Zala, PyTorch Ambassador.
