In October 2024, LF Research released a comprehensive healthcare report based on interviews with over 20 experts in healthcare systems and technologies from various countries. The study aims to identify obstacles to open source adoption and the development of interoperable data standards within the healthcare sector. Organized into five key sections, the report explores the unique complexities of healthcare, issues surrounding data sharing and interoperability, the challenges and benefits of open source, the potential of AI, and actionable recommendations.
